L&M DESIGN LLC was established by Laura Staines Giardino and Michael Giardino to provide a full range of planning, design and architectural services to developer clients
Nationally recognized for our expertise in providing architectural and planning services for new communities and mixed-use urban and suburban environments, L&M DESIGN LLC creatively integrates complex requirements such as density, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, mass transit, building technology, street vitality, massing and scale, environmental impact, sustainability, and market acceptance into our design solutions.
Especially noteworthy within L&M DESIGN's portfolio is our AWARD WINNING planning and design work in the states of Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Significant project experience includes the redevelopment of revitalized urban mixed-use sites throughout New Jersey and New York including CENTURIA in Fort Lee, New Jersey, and the redevelopment of the GARDEN STATE PARK in Cherry Hill, New Jersey; master planning of signature golf course communities throughout New England and the Mid- West; and land planning and architectural design for a multitude of luxury, market-rate and affordable residential and mixed-use communities.
Prior experience of principals Laura and Michael includes the urban design of two linear miles of mixed-use waterfront development along New Jersey's Gold Coast, known as PORT IMPERIAL. Together they have amassed over 60 years experience in the fields of architecture, planning, urban design and construction administration.
Laura and Michael are NCARB certificate holders and are licensed in the following states: Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington DC. L&M are both registered planners of the State of New Jersey.
